spotted-bush-snake_1096.jpg
A juvenile spotted bush snake at the top of a branch. This harmless snake is fairly common in Southern Africa but it is highly alert and nervous so that it is seldom seen. It cannot be kept as a pet since it refuses to feed in captivity. This juvenile is about 20 cm long, adult length is up to 90 cm.
